Casino Pauma has most of the bells and whistle that the gigantic San Diego casinos have except one. It’s smaller, which is an asset if you like the feeling of being a big fish in a small pond. Instead of there being a maze of rooms filled with slot machines, you’ll find plenty to choose in one large ballroom.

Card players won’t get lost in the shuffle either. Casino Pauma offers two dozen tables in a room away from the slot machines. This 42,000 sq. ft. casino is all under one huge roof, yet it isn’t big enough to get lost, as some casinos are. And if you are a smoker, you’ll enjoy the fact that smoking is allowed throughout the casino. So you won’t have to go outside to have a smoke and then come back and resume your gambling.

And you won’t have to search around for their cocktail lounge either. It’s the first thing you see when you step inside the casino. It’s thatched roofed architectural rendering is the theme portrayed throughout the casino. It begins and ends with the beautiful, block long palm tree lined entrance to the casino itself. While there are lots of parking spaces the casino isn’t so large that you have to flag down a tram just to get to the entrance. Yet, there are handsome doormen on hand to greet you and open the doors to one of the friendliest casinos in San Diego.
