Well, one of the many romantic oceanfront restaurants in Pacific Beach claims to be the best place to see "The Green Flash," which is a unique phenomena that often takes place when the sun sets into the blue Pacific Ocean. The restaurant is aptly named The Green Flash Restaurant at 701 Thomas Ave. (858-270-7715). Pacific Beach is a great dining destination.

What to See & Do

The northern boundary between South Mission Beach and North Mission Beach is Belmont Park (15) at 3190 Mission Blvd. (858-488-1549). It's an oceanfront family amusement park. Their main attraction is the rip-roaring Giant Dipper Roller Coaster. It has been a landmark since 1925 and is visible for miles.
