Oceanside Harbor and Marina |
This is the only marina and boat harbor in North County and it’s home to over 950 yachts and boats. While it is a small harbor, there are plenty of fun things to do here.
Making up this one-of-a-kind harbor setting is a small Cape Cod-style fishing village, complete with a lighthouse. The village is a fun place to explore and features several boutiques, unique kiosks, gift shops, cafes and restaurants.
The Oceanside Harbor also boasts several great restaurants worthy of discovery. The Monterey Bay Canners (30) is a great recommendation. It serves fresh seafood overlooking the harbor. Also popular is their oyster bar and their award-winning Sunday Brunch, 9:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m.
Another scenic harborside restaurant is the Jolly Roger (1). Their marina location provides the perfect setting for a wonderful meal. Delicious entrées include their blackened salmon Caesar salad and a memorable cioppino.
This picturesque harbor can be a fun filled adventure because it’s not only home to wonderful bay view restaurants, it’s an aquatic wonderland as well. There are boat docks where you can launch your own boat as well as several places where you can rent a sail or power boat. A popular water sport is kayaking and you can rent one here too. Plus, they are home to a well established deep sea fishing company called Helgren’s (4)
Also fun to do is to take a stroll around the Cape Cod Fishing Village (4) that’s complete with an in use lighthouse that’s also a fun little gift shop. Strolling along the dock here at the village is where you will find several places to dine including the always popular Baja Lobster Restaurant and Cantina. They actually serve cold beer in a bucket and a frosty margarita always tastes good here. As for their harbor view, it’s breathtaking. So what are you waiting for?
