What a great restaurant! The Asian-influenced cuisine at Oki Ton Japanese Bistro (16) in Mission Valley includes delicious Okinawan-style entrées, traditional Japanese sushi and sashimi, and fantastic seafood. The focal point of this Frommer’s and Zagat-rated for America’s Top Japanese Restaurant 2008 is their 24-seat sushi bar. It is here that their marvelous sushi chef creates masterpieces, which include more than 40 different sushi selections and specialty rolls. Be sure to try the red dragon tanned roll with spicy crab and asparagus inside. On the outside is pepper-crusted seared tuna with avocado on top drizzled with ponzu sauce.

Their Cloud 9 specialty roll is also a winner. It’s filled with spicy scallops and cucumber, then topped with fresh halibut and avocado. Other entrées for non-sushi lovers include pasta and a host of seafood selections. The teriyaki grilled salmon is a real favorite too!

Happy hour Mon.–Fri., 4:30 p.m.–7 p.m. with reduced prices on appetizers, sushi rolls, draft beer ($2.99) and cocktails. Lunch specials from ($5.95) and sushi lunch combos from ($6.95). Also enjoy their unique specially priced daily drink items all day every day.
