Serra Museum:
Serra Museum | Old Town

This mission-style building sits 160 feet above Old Town on Presidio Hill. Local civic leader George Marston built it in 1929 as a tribute to Father Junipero Serra, the Spanish priest who founded the 21 missions in California. The Serra Museum in Presidio Park is open Saturdays and Sundays 10 a.m.– 5 p.m. It is surrounded by Presidio Park, a serene setting with more than 120 acres of green grass and trees.

Our staff writers visit all of the boutiques, attractions and events showcased on our site. They also dine in every restaurant. They go unannounced, pay for their own meals and often inspect the kitchen. Have you found something we missed? Your comments are always appreciated.
