The Safest Way to Travel into Mexico

Taking Mexicoach to Tijuana takes the headaches out of crossing the international border. No more waiting in long lines and no more costly auto insurance. Mexicoach, which has been in business for over 37 years, is the easiest and safest way to go to and come back from Tijuana, Mexico. Mexicoach runs daily express buses from San Ysidro to downtown Tijuana 8 a.m.-9 p.m. These departures are from Border Station Parking in San Ysidro every 30 minutes on the hour and on the half hour until 9 p.m. Round trip fare is ($8) and free for children 5 and under. They also offer service to Rosarito Beach. Group charters: If you have a minimum party of 35 people, Mexicoach will pick you up, deliver your party to Mexico and bring you back. The buses are clean and well maintained and the drivers are friendly. Plus, they are the only bus company with full permits to arrive at all of Baja California's bus terminals. Don't forget that American citizens need a valid U.S. passport to enter and leave Mexico after Jan. 1, 2008. If you are 21 years or older you can bring back one quart of liquor duty-free. A Major Attraction Worth Visiting in Tijuana

The Tijuana Cultural and Visitor Center is a major attraction and an excellent place to learn about the different regions of Mexico. The Cultural Center includes an exciting multi-image Omnimax theatre. The cost is about ($4.50) for adults and ($2.50) for children, students and senior citizens. Their museum, Museo of the Californias, presents the history of Baja and Southern California. It displays historic pieces from the pre-Hispanic era to the present day. It is open daily Tues.-Sun., 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Closed Mon. The museum admission is ($2.50). Their temporary exhibits are free, and showcase the works of Mexican artists.
